Puyol: Martino or Enrique would fit in well at Barcelona.

Gerardo Martino who recently led Newell's Old Boys to the Final title in his native Argentina and Luis Enrique former Spain and Barca player who joined Celta De Vigo last month are both suitable for the Catalan giants' playing style, captain Carles Puyol said on Monday After coach Tito Vilanova was forced to step down last week as his treatment for throat cancer.

The 35 year old told a post training news conference he was sure that the club's board would hire a coach able to adapt to Barca's game style which is based on ball possession.

"We know about his career, he is a very good coach, He likes Barcelona's playing style" :Puyol about Martino.

Luis Enrique's chance is less while compared to Martino because he only recently agreed to join Celta De Vigo and he was unsuccessful with AS Roma during the 2011-12 campaign.

Barca cancelled a pre-season friendly against Lechia Gdansk  because of Friday's announcement that Vilanova was leaving.

Liverpool want £55m for Luis Suarez

According to THESun, Arsenal are set to offer £40m as the fight for Liverpool stricker Luis Suarez hots up.

Arsene Wenger last night finally agreed to make a £40million offer for the Uruguayan striker after his £30m bid was rejected. But the reds now want £55m.

The Kop chief Brendan Rodgers said: “When you consider Edinson Cavani has gone for £55m, Luis is up there in that bracket of top talent."

"Arsenal’s was an offer we didn’t deem worthy of the talent."

“There’s no guarantee Luis would be sold even for that because we are trying to build something we don’t have to sell."

“We’re prepared to spend and get people in without having to sell him."

“The reality is we have had one offer."

“So there can be as much speculation as you like, there’s been nothing beyond that.”

“Liverpool are one of the giants of the world., There is massive competition and we don’t want to be selling players we want to keep our best ones here.”

Barcelona have turned their attentions to Daniel Agger

Thiago Silva about the rumours : "Rumours? I have a four year contract with PSG and I will respect this."

"The season will start as the last one ended. I'll wear the jersey of Paris." He added.

The catalan giants were about sign agger from Liverpool last summer but they opted instead to improve their midfield by signing Alex Song from Arsenal.

Brazilian Center Back David Luiz and Roma's Marquinhos are also Barcelona targets, but Vilanova is thought to have major reservations about both players.
